Leah Segedie is the Founder of Mamavation.com, award-winning content creator, best-selling author, digital food activist, and mom of three redhead boys. After losing many close family members to cancer, Leah dedicated her life to helping other women find the non-toxic products in the grocery store to help safeguard the hormonal health of their families. Working with independent scientists & health professionals, she investigates consumer products and makes healthy shopping easier for women. She also commissions her own consumer studies on various contaminants inside products at the grocery store with EPA-certified laboratories concerning PFAS “forever chemicals,” phthalates, pesticides, heavy metals, & microplastics. Leah leverages her popular female-only Facebook Fan group to crowdsource ideas about different products to test and what the needs are of her community. Consumer studies are paid mostly by affiliate links and ad revenue from Mamavation.com. Thus, when women use her site to shop, they also pay for the consumer studies that benefit their family without having to donate a dime completing the circle of trust and empowerment for women. Leah Segedie published best selling book Green Enough: Eat Better, Live Cleaner, Be Happier — All Without Driving Your Family Crazy! in 2018 with Rodale/Penguin and was given the nickname “The PFAS Hunter” by Consumer Reports in 2023.
