Mamavation has undergone some changes and big things have been happening behind the scenes!

We’re updating the Mamavation website and gating the part of the site that has lab data to get ahead of AI and all its tricks, but the content is still FREE!

From now on, most Mamavation investigations with raw laboratory data will be gated. But membership will remain free (unless you want an ad-free experience).

It only takes a minute, and it ensures you stay connected to the community that’s helping families everywhere live cleaner, healthier lives.

What is MAMAGATE?

MAMAGATE is a gated content system that obscures data from investigations we have published that include raw laboratory data. MAMAGATE is presently free.  However, to view raw laboratory data and receive product recommendations from those investigations, you’ll need to become a member.

Right now, MAMAGATE covers only 45 investigations, which is only about 13% of the site’s content. Content not under MAMAGATE is alternatively based on a materials review, a review of publicly disclosed ingredients, or a review of another organization’s study and is not covered by MAMAGATE.

In other words, when we sent cooking oils off to the lab to test for phthalates, that is covered by MAMAGATE. But our investigations into our Air Fryers, Air Purifiers, and Water Filters are based on publicly available information and are not covered.

What About The Paid Membership Version of MAMAVATION?

The paid membership part of the site is for people who are sick and tired of seeing all the ads and pop-ups. We offer a membership version that removes all the ads and pop-ups on the site for about $19 per month. This also helps us pay for investigations and research. However, this is not what most people are looking for. They just want the free membership to get inside MAMAGATE. So if that is you, pay close attention to the instructions below on how to get inside for free.

 

How to Get Into MAMAGATE FOR FREE

Here are some special instructions from our development team to help you access the site and view our gated content.

SCENARIO 1: YOU’RE BRAND-NEW TO MAMAVATION

Never subscribed to Mamavation before? Here’s what to do:

1. Go to the article with gated content
2. Fill out the form — enter your name and email, check the consent box
3. Check your email for a confirmation message (check spam if needed!)
4. Click the confirmation link — you’ll be taken back to the article with everything unlocked

SCENARIO 2: YOU’RE ALREADY SUBSCRIBED (but haven’t accessed gated content before)

You’re on our email list, but this is your first time accessing the premium content. You need to agree to our terms first:

1. Go to the article with gated content
2. Fill out the form with your existing email
3. Check the consent box and submit
4. Since your email is already confirmed, you’ll see a success message
5. Click “Restore Your Access” to unlock — you’re in!

You only need to do this once. After that, you can use Restore Access anytime.

SCENARIO 3: YOU’VE ACCESSED GATED CONTENT BEFORE

Already filled out the form and agreed to terms previously? You just need to restore your access:

• Didn’t get the confirmation email? Check spam or resubmit the form.
• “Restore Access” not working? You may need to fill out the form first to agree to our terms.
• Still stuck? Clear your browser cookies and try again.
• “I unlocked the content, why can’t I see it?” You unlocked it on that browser on that device? To see it somewhere else, you need to unlock it again on the other device and/or browser.

Think of MAMAGATE like a hand stamp at an amusement park. When you unlock the conten, we put an invisible stamp on that browser. But if you go home and come back the next day, or if your friend tries to get in, they don’t have the stamp – even if you paid for both tickets. Each browser is like a different person. Each one needs its own stamp. Your unlock only works on the browser and device where you unlocked it. Different phone? Different browser? You need to unlock it there too.
