Does ARMRA Colostrum Immune Revival Supplement have indications of PFAS “forever chemicals” or phthalates? We sent this product off to two EPA-certified laboratories to take a look! You’ve trusted Mamavation to bring you other consumer studies like the safest olive oils tested for phthalates, the safest coconut oils tested for phthalates, best water filters, or best infrared saunas, now join us for the EPA-test results of ARMRA Colostrum Immune Revival.

ARMRA Colostrum Immune Revival Did Not Have Detections of PFAS or Phthalates

We are just going to give you the good news right away. ARMRA Colostrum Immune Revival, a supplement that brings you bovine colostrum, did not have any detections of organic fluorine (an indicator of PFAS “forever chemicals”) or phthalates according to our EPA-certified labs.

  • Organic Fluorine (PFAS indicator testing)– Non-detect organic fluorine (detection limit is 10 ppm)
  • Phthalates — Non-detect sum phthalates (detection limit is 1 ppb)

Because colostrum is bovine-derived (i.e. dairy), we wanted to ensure we tested it for phthalates and indications of PFAS “forever chemicals” because those are very common contaminants found in the dairy industry.

To celebrate these non-detect results, we reached out to ARMRA afterward and asked them for a special discount. ARMRA Colostrum Immune Revival is giving Mamavation fans 15% off by using discount code “MAMAVATION” at checkout. Health Impacts of PFAS “Forever Chemicals” & Testing Details

PFAS “forever chemicals” are per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances used as stain-resistant, water-resistant, & oil-resistant chemicals in commerce. They have been used for decades in consumer products, manufacturing, and building materials. Here are some of the health effects associated with different PFAS “forever chemicals:”

  • Reduction in immunity
  • Reduced vaccination response
  • Increased risk of allergies & asthma in young children
  • Affected growth, learning, and behavior of infants and older children
  • Increase cholesterol levels
  • Metabolic diseases like obesity & diabetes
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Lowered a woman’s chance of getting pregnant
  • Lowered male fertility
  • Increased risk of kidney & testicular cancers
  • Causes endocrine disruption
  • Disrupted normal thyroid function
  • Increases risk of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children
  • Cancer

It’s also very clear based on biomonitoring evidence from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) that PFAS are in virtually all Americans. Therefore, these exposures can harm most Americans.

Testing: Mamavation’s EPA-certified laboratory uses marker testing to identify the potential presence of PFAS “forever chemicals” in powdered substances. Organic fluorine is a marker for PFAS because all PFAS chemicals are carbon-based compounds that contain fluorine. The specific lab method used to test for total fluorine was the Determination of Total Fluorine by Oxygen Flask Combustion and Ion-Selective Electrode. If total fluorine was observed at a detection level of 10 ppm or greater, the lab did the Determination of free Fluoride Ion in the product by Ion-Selective Electrode and then subtracted that from the Total Fluorine to determine the amount of organic fluorine. This marker testing is likely to show the presence of PFAS. Organic fluorine can also capture other fluoropolymers, pharmaceuticals, and common hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants, such as 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (commonly known as R-134a) and 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (commonly known as HFO-1234yf), which are all also PFAS.

Phthalates Tested For by Mamavation’s EPA-Certified Laboratory & Health Impacts

Mamavation’s EPA-certified lab tested for the following phthalates. This is not a complete list of all the phthalates that are allowed to be present as an indirect food additive according to the FDA, however, this list goes above and beyond what is already restricted by the European Union or the State of California and mirrors what was tested in 2023 by Defend Our Health.

  • Diethyl phthalate (DEP)
  • Di-n-propyl phthalate (DPP)
  • Diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP)
  • Dibutyl phthalate (DBP)
  • Dihexyl phthalate (DnHP)
  • Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP)
  • Dicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP)
  • Diisononyl phthalate (DINP)
  • Di-n-octyl phthalate (DnOP)
  • Diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP)
  • bis(2-Ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP)
  • Dimethyl phthalate (DMP)
  • Bis(2-propylheptyl) Phthalate (DPHP)
  • Didecyl phthalate (DDP)

Phthalates are linked to many health effects from several studies on both animals and humans. This is very problematic because phthalates are linked with hormone disruption of the endocrine system, which regulates the body’s hormones, even in trace amounts in low concentrations. Epidemiological studies have revealed that exposure to phthalates adversely affects the level of hormones within the body, which can impact several important health functions. Here are some health effects phthalate exposure is linked to.

  • Weight gain & obesity
  • Shorter height
  • Precocious puberty
  • Asthma
  • Allergies
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Lower IQ
  • Social impairment
  • Type II diabetes and insulin resistance
  • Poor cardiovascular health
  • Thyroid function and increased risk of thyroid cancer
  • Females: pregnancy loss and preterm birth, low birth weight, earlier menopause
  • Males: genital development, semen quality, reduced “masculine” play, Inhibits testosterone production, Shortened anogenital distance, or shortened “taint” , Shortened length of penis

Now I’m concern about other reviews and recommendations because ARMRA colostrum it actually tested for very high levels of arsenic. No one should be buying this product.
